So... purely theoretical, since its my shirt and not my husbands.
I recently purchased this shirt from walmart
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Fad.....86209
The outer part inst really a shirt. It is more of a wrap. The general shape, if laid out would be a rectangle (back piece) with 2 long rectangles sewn on to go over the shoulders (front panels). The 'sleeves" are really just a small point on the front and back fabric sewn together, not a full sleeve sewn all the way up and down the arm (look at the black and white version of the shirt for a good view of the 'sleeve').
So, if this was a mans shirt, would it need tzitzit on it?

I think so. I love that you can turn shopping at Walmart into a discussion about Torah. What a great way to approach the world!
