My only grandson is, Gd willing, turning three on erev Sukkos. I would like to get a special gift for him, something a bit significant that he can keep and that he will appreciate now. The only thing I can think of is a silver kos, but I was told her already got one when he was born.
I don't want to get huge toys (he already has a trike) because their home is very small. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thank you!

Watching this
Also have an almost 3 yr old.
When his brother had his upsherin I got him a balance bike.
The brother is now ready to transition into a regular bike.
The balance bike would handed down.
I want to get almost 3 GC something special.
Someone recommended a big set of real magnatiles.
But that's something for all 3 brothers.
I wanted something special just for him.

A large legs set, or other toy set. It's expensive but gets very well used.

If you are looking for something he will appreciate now , then a toy.
You can get him the magnet toy they have now, a fisher price school bus ,blocks or a nice storybook.
Since he is turning three in addition to the toy you can get a nice kippa and tzites with his name.

When my nephew had his upsherin a few years ago in this season, we bought him a child-size Sefer Torah that he takes with him to shul on Simchas Torah.

There are kids Sefer torahs with aleph bais and nekudos inside on laminated paper. That way it looks like a Torah for simchas Torah but he can actually open it and use it. Some of them even come with a silver pointer.

If you want to get something that he will always appreciate but not so much right now. A beautiful set of Chumashim (Mekros Gedolos) with his name stamped on it.
