My daughter had a bacterial illness and I need to clean a few of her stuffed animals and dolls. Some of them say that they are okay to put in the washing machine (though I am nervous about this), and some say surface wash only.
Any ideas or tips on how to wash stuffed animals in the washing machine? Or how to wash stuffed animals that can't go in the washing machine?
Thanks!

If you wash in the washing machine you could put them in a garment bag or pillow case and wash on delicate. I did this when my son threw up on a favorite stuffed animal. It washed just fine.

Thanks. Would this work for stuffed animals that say hand wash only?

Hand wash stuffed animals may have those hard little ballies inside instead of just stuffing (you can tell by squeezing). You DON'T want those in your machine. Btdt.

That I don't know. Depends on how the stuffed animal is made. If you don't feel comfortable using the washing machine, I would just gently hand wash the toy in a bucket or sink.
