Looking for a recommendation for a driver from Newark airport to Lakewood early tomorrow morning. If you can include an estimated price, that's even better. Thank you!

Have you considered Uber or Lyft?

Lakeway is expensive -- I've paid them around $100 recently. I took Uber twice recently too and it was a lot less -- once was $59 and once was $75.

Was for my mom actually. Ended up paying way too much to a private person this time ($90 +tolls I believe, for not even all the way to Lakewood). So for next time, what are uber, uberpool, and lyft?

Consider that if you are using a private frum person, they will charge you more as it's not worth their while otherwise - they are doing nothing on the return trip without you. Uber and lyft may have other assigned jobs in the area so you will pay less for the trip.

Yes, that's just what she said, which makes sense. She said she has to drive all the way there to get her. So uber and lyft are just taxi companies?

Uber and Lyft are taxi companies that you order by downloading their apps, setting up an account, and then ordering one when you're ready. You can get a sign-up bonus on Uber (google for a referral bonus). They also tell you how far away the closest car is, and can give you an estimated cost when you enter your destination.

Got it, thanks! I guess I'm out of the smart phone loop over in Israel. Very interesting!
