Ive never really cookef meat before. Whats a good/easy recipe for a small group of people?

#3, brisket
Heat the pan, add some oil, when hot, carefully place the meat that has been brought to room temperature. Brown it well then carefully flip it. After it's browned on the second side, add;
1 cup or so red wine
1t salt
Water to cover 2/3 - 3/4
Simmer for 2hrs/kg. Or longer.
This time I added molasses, orange jam and brown sugar.
Refrigerate, slice when cold. Return to pan y"t morning, either add the gravy, or thicken it first.
