How do you clean /wash your rug? In washing machine? Just vacuum it? Tia

You can scrub and shampoo it with carpet cleaners. Most rugs cannot be laundered.
What sort of rug are you asking about?

It's like a cheap 60$ one from target, so I should just scrub and carpet shampoo then hang to dry?

It should not get so wet that it needs to hang to dry. More of like spot cleaning stains. Always best to remove stains right away.

There are no stains, it's just like the kids play on it I feel like I need to clean it and wash it

Doesn't everyone wash their rugs or am I extra clean??
I always wash my rug In my hall but it's smaller so it fits in my machine but this new one I got is little bigger..

We had carpets at home and my mom would have it professionally cleaned once a week.
I know people who own a machine and do it themselves or rent a machine to do it.
