Amazon has a listing of best sellers for point and shoot cameras. You can start with this list and read reviews.

DSlrs are the real deal. Canon runs rebates during the holiday season for $300 off a bundle. The deal websites such as dans deals posts when there is a great offer.

If you sell your printer and second lense you come out about the same price as a point and shoot.

I recommend the canon sl1. It's a little smaller than the othere's models and takes professional pictures. My sister and I were fooling around in the park with our cameras today. They are so much fun!

Thanx. Appreciate your input.
What's a cannon rebel?
I may sound dumb but what's a point and shoot?

Look it up on amazon. A rebel has large sensors, larger body, interchangeable lenses shoot faster, and sharper photos with creative options. You usually look through the peephod while shooting. The canon rebel t5i and sl1 are from the cheaper options.

A point and shoot is a regular small camera with a fixed lense.

Not sure how much it costs we have a Fuji mirror less camera. It take beautiful quality pics but I think is more tailored to those who understand photography a bit better. The model is x100t.
