Are you making ground meat patties? Like burgers?

If you're making patties, shape about 5 parties per pound. Heat oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat and fry patties (in batches, do not overcrowd pan or the meat will steam instead of getting pan fried and cooked through) until golden and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
You can serve them with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Does it need a lot of oil? And how much time per side? Can I do the string beans in same pot and how?

Doesn't need a lot of oil. Start with 2 spoons.
Once the pan and oil have heated all the way through on a medium flame, add the patties for about 5 minutes, flip, and continue for about 5 more minutes.
If you want to do green beans in same pan, add them in after the patties are finished and have been removed to a platter.

Cook the patties as directed above.
For the stringbeans.
Take the patties out. DO NOT CLEAN THE PAN. You want the flavors.
On very high heat put your stringbeans (fresh, clean and stemmed) in and sautée until they start getting brown at the tips.
Take a big pinch of salt and sprinkle it on top.
Then take 1/8 of a cup of water (1/2 of a quarter cup) measure does not need to be exact, just a little bit of water.
Pour it in cover the pan, still on high heat, and steam for 2-3 minutes depending on how crunchy you like them.
Taste, if you want them softer, cover and cook for 1 min longer.

And then remember that the green beans are actually fleishigs, not just "fleishigs pan".
