yes. And my scalp. Although to be fair, the dermatologist said it was my covering my head without sufficiently drying my hair that gave me such problems. Since then, I've been diligent about drying my hair first (and use the medications etc that she gave me), my scalp is much improved. My hair, not so much.

A lot of it is only indirectly due to covering my hair. I think I took better care of my hair when it wasn't covered...

Covering my hair has ruined my hair and caused some scalp problems. So hard.

No but I only been wearing a sheital for almost 2 years. I cut my hair to "pixie" cut when I got married and now letting my hair to growing from that day and my hair is still nice.

My hair actually looks better now. It's thicker and doesn't get as oily.

Tiger mom- what do you do to make your hair that way? Do you wear a sheitel or a tichel?

Me too. My hair was always stick straight and lately it's been drying curly naturally. Granted, it may be my age, but it has more body and is less oily.

I wear both. I think it's mainly because I touch it up less- I wash it less often and almost never blow-dry.

Same. Is that like a common side effect of covering your hair, that your hair gets thicker? Well, whatever, my hair is thicker and stronger now.

Agree with tiger - as a girl I always blow dried my hair, used stuff, etc...since I got married, I do it less, and my hair is thicker, nicer texture than ever.

My DD just went for a haircut and the stylist told her her hair is getting dry, because she curls it so often.

My hair was gorgeous before I got married. Now, after 20+ years of being under a sheitel, it's definitely not nearly as nice. On the plus side, you can't see the gray either since it's covered by a sheital.

Me too.
It's thick shiny and soft.
I wash it once a week.
It was hard to cut it last time since it was so pretty. I cut about 14" off.
