First don't call it camp mommy. It soudns very stressful.
Just see it as doing outings with your kids, as on Sundays, but several times a week.
Select the best days. Go inside (malls etc) when hot. You can go out later.

Go out earlier
Go out later
Plan to be home between 11:00-2:00 the hottest time.
Early lunch, Prep dinner, do indoor activity, arts n craft, do HW (they give some during the summer) during the hottest time of the day.
If it were me
Go to the park from 8-10and after 4, preferably 6-8 ( if you can handle 2 hrs at a time)
10- 4 indoor activities only, library, museums, at home activities, etc.
I've done a mall scavenger hunt with my kids, all girls that love shopping.
Things like they have to find stores names that begin with every letter of the alphabet.
Or how to use a map to get to a certain store.
Supermarkets are always well air conditioned.
Costco has a great walk in refrigerator section.
This as well as all the other suggestions of keeping hydrated and wearing sunblock and hats.

Why? We do mommy camp every summer and that's what it's called. Totally your not stressful. We look forward to it all year. We plan everything in advance so it's organized and we have a plan of action. And we have a blast!

I've never heard of someone calling it camp mommy irl. But again maybe it's cultural. Davka my kids know if they don't want camp, then what they have is (not camp) mommy.
