I know there is a book called shaar habitachon from chovos halevavos in English. When I went to the Judaica store they didn't know what I was talking about. Does anyone know where I can get it, what its called and who writes it?

I know the book your talking about. It has a plain jacket with a small decoration. U can probably find it in a used seforim store

This work is very powerful. The lack of belief that Hashem runs the world and does so through kindness is one of the greatest causes of distress in this period of history imho. Also imho it is best studied slowly with someone who has worked on their own bitachon.
