I am separating from DH and feel uncomfortable wearing my wedding/engagement ring anymore. I want to get something else to wear instead because my finger feels bald without it.

I can't spend real money on it but I don't want to get something fake enough to irritate or stain my finger. What kind of materials will work for that?

Can you recommend where to buy? I'm in NY and would prefer to shop in person but online with easy free returns could also work. Also my fingers are skinny and a little knobbly, some size 5 rings are loose and some fit only because the 4s are sometimes too tight and a lot of rings don't come that small.

Also looking for suggestions (links/pictures) of styles because I'm terrible at finding and deciding these things. I want something that does not look like a wedding/engagement ring. Not old fashioned or boring but not a big fashion statement either - something interesting but not outstanding.

Thanks.

Macy's has really nice sterling silver jewelry that will be on sale during the holiday season.

Do they have anything different in store than online? Because I looked at Macys.com, filtered by size, and came up with mostly things that look too married/engaged...

Thanks!
Can someone please post a link to some styles that would be nice enough looking to replace my wedding/engagement ring (I.e. not like teenage junk looking), but appropriate for everyday wear, and don't say "married"? Having a hard time figuring out which styles would be suitable.

fashion stackable style, like these http://www1.macys.com/shop/pro.....3D0.0|49.99%26RINGS_STYLE%3DStackable;;Statement%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D8%26ruleId%3D105|BS%26slotId%3D1

or an everyday gemstone (google for styles)

styles like this very popular now http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/la.....ILVER

also if you're not actually allergic then a good quality fake ring like from nordstrom should be cheaper and no adverse effects. you have to go in person to see if it looks good.

and don't worry about the size, any jeweler can refit it for you

I thought this one was very cool

Or this

https://www.ruelala.com/boutiq.....6867/

But my strange advice is to get used to being without a ring. In the long run, any ring on your left ring finger is going to tell people "taken." They don't look closely to see what the ring is; they just notice its existence. If you want to eventually remarry, go without.

I'm not sure exactly but I'm thinking under $100.

I disagree that any ring says married. Pretty much everyone I see wears rings of some sort. And my sheitel and my kids make me look married enough that I don't think the ring is what I need to worry about...

I love Pandora rings. Here are a few I own:

Edited to add that the quality of the rings is great and they are found in regular jewelry stores, Pandora stores, and online!
