For a long time I have been wanting to learn to sew, and now my husband went and bought a sewing machine for me.....
Now comes the hard part... I need to learn how to use it.
Does anyone know of anyone in Montreal who teaches sewing classes? Perhaps we can organise a class (if we can find a suitable teacher) if other pple are interested.

go for it! I took professional sewing lessons for about 7 years and loved it. sewed lined shabbos suits, all my clothing (well, a LOT of it) for seminary.... and the stuff came out really trendy and neat looking.
get yourself a good teacher.

I wish I had the time to sew....... but I guess it just isn't my highest priority anymore.

I know a friend of mine once took a course in tav and learned how to sew. I dont know whther the corse still exits but u might call there for an idea of a sewing teacher.
