I saw this recipe. does anyone know if I could just slice up the cubes of stew meat and use it for this?
Crispy Beef:
beef cut into strips, pepper steak or minute steak
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce--(the author uses as much billy bee honey sake teriyaki as she wants, added to the next three ingredients)
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoos sugar (add alittle more if you like) plus a couple tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
cut beef into thin strips and coat with corn starch. Fry in oil until very brown and crunchy.
Remove from pan and set aside.
combine vinegar, sugar, honey and soy sauce. Pour sauce over meat and stir.
let simmer for a bit so the meat absorbs the sauce.

Stew meat is lean and tough and needs low and slow cooking to make it deliciously tender.
You're better off using the meat in a stew, goulash, shredded beef, or beef burgundy / bourguignon.

heres a question: in the fresh and ez cookbook there is a really good recipe for pepper steak- with a bbq sauce. its really good. can I slice up this meat and put it in the crockpot with this sauce and cook it for a few hours?
the thing with this type of meat is that it needs to cook for a whole no?

Yes but omit the water because cooking is different in a crockpot.
