I check my phone a million times a day for nonsense. I feel like it's dragging me down. It's distracting and addicting. I hate it. Should I just get rid of it and go back to a dumb phone? Problem is I'm on all these family WhatsApp groups, which sometimes actually share important information. It's also of course convenient to always have access to emails, amazon etc. whenever I want. Is there some way to limit my usage through a filter? Or should I just get rid of it altogether? Support and ideas welcome.

You are probably just like me doing it out of pressure. You can get a filter but do your research as some filters literaly break the phone. Im off all WhatsApp groups as it cloggs my phone. If theres an important message everyone know that they have to message me seperate. Theres nothing wrong with checking a phone, a phone is almost the same like reading a newspaper. If someone is ignoring their laundry then thats an issue but if their sick in bed like I am now then whats the issue.

It's not only abt the WhatsApp groups. And surfing my phone feels very different than reading a newspaper. It's like this constant pull. I hate it. Anyone get rid of their iPhone ? If you did you're probably not checking imamother in middle of the day ..

At first I wanted to be cool like everyone else. Then it got ridiculous over how many times I checked my phone. My iPhone broke and I have a cheap ichy phone but it's just less distracting for me now. I still check it but I am not as addicted. I x have internet on it, just texting. I think I'm gonna stay this way. I am already addicted to imamother. It's hard for me to stop as it is.

No advice, just know that a lot of us have the same issue. When I waste too much time I feel so not good.
