Can y'all help me brainstorm? Most of my family is more secular and it will feel really weird calling a girl chani or rifki around them. However we live in a MO/JPF community and don't want to have a Vivienne or a Jamie either. I want a name that works for secular or frum Very Happy no J names, please!
Here are some on the list:
Ella
Rose
Bella
Emma
Lily (for Leah. In our community it passes even though it may be more 'secular)'
Lea (LEE-ah)
Zelda
Rachel
Yakira, call her Kira
Nina
Mindy

Please add to the list!

Molly is great, thanks for that suggestion.
Dh loves Meira. It's a little 'frum-sounding' for me but it's on the table. Thank you for this list Smile

How would Michael be pronounced for a girl?
Abby would work! And I love Molly...these replies are very helpful.

A lot of biblical names can go both ways like
Sarah
Rebecca (Becky)
Deborah (Debbie)
Hannah
Abigail (Abby)
Esther
Miriam
Ruth (Ruthie?)
Eve

I know someone who's name is Aviva but they call her Vivie (VIH-vee), sounds like its for Vivian

Udel is a Yiddish name. It can be translated to Adelle. Also a mispronunciation of Aidle.

I once had a (dati, Israeli) co-worker ask me if my daughter Eliana had a Hebrew name, so I guess it also can fit the bill!

Noa is beautiful. I love Talya but have to convince dh on that one because we have a cousin by that name and he likes to have names that no one else in the family has! Thanks for these suggestions.
