my husband makes around $20 K a year (don't worry, I work too, and we only have 2 kids, and we live in cheapo Cleveland and don't pay tuition because our kids have special needs and aren't in Jewish schools.) For $13 an hour, he's a paraprofessional at a charter school--- works one on one with an 8th grader with special needs. When she's absent he gets sent to other classes to work with other kids who also require aids. He (I do too-- not using mine either ha ha) has a masters in ed, but no teaching credential--- we moved here for him to take (apparently) the one TEACHING job in the city that didn't require a credential. Smile He had that job for a few years (and a lot of teaching experience in another city before that) but for various reasons, he's been a para in various schools ever since.

He LOVES it.

Are you implying that 50k is a lot or a little?

I'll need to go anon, or refrain from answering this thread as my dh's job is very not typical and will be a sure giveaway to anyone that knows me IRL. Smile

My husband works as an actuary but is still writing exams and not qualified. Current income is 130,000 but once qualified could be 250 000.

I work two part time jobs and make about 55 000 combined.

Canadian dollars.

High school rebbe with some administrative responsibilities. 60k.
But, within the next few years we have 2 sons who will be in the school, and massive tuition breaks for teachers is part of the package. So for a few years we will have up to an additional 20k back in reduced tuition.
