My baby is 7 weeks old. This is my third and my other 2 were also ebf. They always fed on both sides each feeding. One side, burp and then if they fell asleep I woke them to take the other side. When they got older they stayed awake to finish both sides each feeding. I decided with this baby that it's stupid to wake her just so she cud suck a bit on the second side, so I officially only give one side each feeding. Is that ok? Could I continue this even past the newborn stage?

Yes, as long as baby is satisfied and you're not feeling too engorged. Some doctors even say this is ideal as baby gets more of the fatty part of the milk.

Can you pump on the other side while hole baby nurses on the 1 side? This way you don't mess with your supply.

Just remember to feed from the other side by the next feed. I did this with my kids.

Completely fine, as long as baby is happy and thriving. I've always done this.

Some recommend this. I find my kids spit up less when I do it this way.

Nursed 5 kids for 1 year plus each, only feeding one side per time. All thrived beautifully, the only tricky bit is sometimes remembering which side you did last, but often you can tell the difference by feeling how full each side is.
