3 hrs or more (I've never done it all in one sitting but I hear that it takes 2-3 hours. For me it would take longer because I would find it hard to concentrate for so long.)

IIRC 2 hours. It comes with practice though. I haven't said it in a while now but at one point there was a crisis in our family and I committed to saying the entire Tehillim every Shabbos for a few weeks.

Saying Tikkun Klali is as saying the whole book. Please read this:

Whoever says the General Tikun has the ability to be saved from all the terrorists, vandals, car accidents, illnesses, and all kinds of mishaps, and it is a remedy (segula) for matchmaking, children, and all types of salvations.
