My son is on duracef for strept. He has an awful cold and I think hes wheezing. I must do something for his cough. In the past I always used albuterol once or twice on w/o asking dr cuz it helps the kid bring up the mucus. (yes I remember that thread abt using it out asking dr, and my dr told me one or 2 doses cant hurt) the only thing is now, I dunno if its safe when hes on duracef. Anybody know?

My kids have asthma. I believe it's fine but always a good idea to double check with your own doctor. Is there someone on call at your pedi that you can ask now?

100% fine.
Duricef is an antibiotic by mouth. Albuterol is an inhaled bronchodilator for wheezing. Totally fine to use.
