I have a recipe for cream of chicken soup that calls for a few cups of chicken soup. Thing is I don't have any on hand. Can I use chicken soup consomme mix? Would the flavor be very different? Should I cut out the salt that the recipe calls for if I use consomme?

I was so in the mood of this tonight...its so cold outside
