Would love a poem that's a little shorter and lighter - this one was a little too deep for me to feel comfortable using - once again thanks for taking the time to find things for me

With two things the Cat in the Hat came through the door
But on Purim our mitzvot add up to four
One is to hear the Purim story of Esther and the King
Once and night and once in the day, when the birds are awake to sing
Two is a meal which we all share and eat
After, not everyone will get to their feet
Thing three, we do all through the year
A gift to the poor, increases holiday cheer
And we've come to thing number four
Mishloach Manot to our friends, that we deliver door to door
In Adar we add to happiness and share joyous celebration
So enjoy our two things we give to you for Purim two-oh-one-seven*

I did this theme last year and it came out really cute imo Smile

My 2 year old was thing 2 and my 1 year old was thing 1. I couldn't find costumes for them that I liked so I bought them long sleeved red fireman pajamas which they wore inside out. I made the round white circle labels myself. They wore striped red and white socks. My 2 year old wore a blue fuzzy headband from Amazon and my 1 year old wore a thing ski hat.

I was the cat in the hat. I wore all black, and a hat, gloves, and bow tie that I got from the Gemach on R and east 15 (718 998 7720?) I made a white oval belly out of an old t shirt.

My husband got a full thing costume from the same gemach. I made his white circle say thing drunk.

For mishloach manos I wrote a poem I adapted from a page of the cat in the hat book. I don't mind if you use it. I made hats out of a marshmallow on top of a white Oreo. I dipped the cookie and the ends of the marshmallow in red melted chocolate to make the stripes. I gave mike and Ike's boxes with a paper on one side that said "book". I made a fan out of a folded piece of paper and put in yellow jellyfish for the fish in the pot and gum balls for the ball. Out of red mondo bottles I made "things" I attached blue " hair" to the plastic piece on top and a round white label to the middle that said thing 1 or thing 2.

I saw something really cute....

They took the tall round conatiners you usally use for soup and layered cherry sorbet and vanillla icecream to get the cat in the hat stripes. They flipped it upside down on a red plastic plate and it looked the the hat.

The rest of the food was red and blue candies and black and white cookies wrapped in celophane bags.

They took long pieces of styrofoam, wrapped them with cat an the hat wrapping paper, put the "hat" on and the other packages and it looked really cool.
