We need an exterminator because of a mice problem in the basement of a 3 family house. The apartments above are mice-proofed and dont see mice.
We tried the highest rated Poison blocks from Amazon and we still see mice in the basement.
Ive been told that basements are hard to mice-proof because of the Boiler Room and Meter room being there.
Advice please.

Can you tell me which model? I read reviews that say that the sonic gadgets are a waste of money. You end up needing an exterminator.

Maybe it's harder to mouse proof a basement, but it's not impossible. Did you talk to a mouse proofer for an estimate? Who told you it's hard to mouse proof?
I don't see the big deal with mouseproofing a boiler room and meter room. It's like any other room. You cover up obvious entry holes and you can even mouse proof the door.

Oh and the sonic gadgets don't work. Poison doesn't work either. The only thing that works is steel wool, copper mesh and sheet metal so they go bother someone else instead.
