I'm trying to get an official ASD diagnosis for my son, and when I call around the organizations out there all they want is for me to first change insurance to one that supports therapy for asd. And some won't even deal with me before that.
But I don't want to do all that before I get an official diagnosis, and am even willing to pay cash for this visit.

ETA my son is 9 years old.

If someone can please help me. I'm very lost
I am located in Boro Park.
Thank you!!

Dr. Harris Huberman from SUNY Downstate has a great team and they accept most insurance.

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
If my son's first language is Yiddish do you know if they can accommodate?
Also will I be able to use this diagnosis to get services from Local organizations?

Call them and find out if they can accommodate. They have a frum woman on the team, and she may or may not speak Yiddish.

I'm not sure what you mean about local organizations. I used their diagnosis to get autism put on a child's IEP and subsequently get more educational services. I don't know what organizations give services, but I would assume if an organization requires an autism diagnosis for servicing, then they would accept this. He's quite a reputable doctor and his team does a full scale, multi-day evaluation.
