Remodeling a kitchen.
If you have a KitchenaidKitchenaid wall oven
1. Single or Double
2. How old
3. What do you like or don't like

If you have a double oven, can you use both ovens on sabbath mode at the same time?

If you also own any other appliances please let me know.

I have both a built in KitchenAid double wall oven and a single one. They are both under a year old.

I researched features I wanted and bought what I was looking for. I am happy with both of them. Yes, you can put both ovens of the double oven in Shabbos mode at the same time.

I bought higher end for the double oven (with convection in both ovens) and middle end (without convention) for the single oven (which is milchig). I found that the higher end oven came with more racks and much better ones than the middle end single one.

I have no complaints about them. They work as they should. They have the features I wanted. Only other comment that I would make is that setting some of the features (for example, to stop at a certain time) aren't totally intuitive and I still sometimes need to check the manual (which does explain it clearly).

What was the features you were looking for specifically

Does the sabbath mode stay on for a 3 day YT.

Do you need to use sabbath mode to have time bake for Shabbat night.
For the oven to turn off right before the Seuda, and stop ringing.

Have you used the self clean, does it clean well.

I really appreciate your response

I wanted Sabbath mode, self cleaning and convection (for the double).

Yes, Sabbath mode stays on until you turn it off.

Yes, you need to use Sabbath mode for time back for Friday night, otherwise it will keep beeping and the light will go on when you open the door.

I have not used self clean yet as nowadays techs recommend not to use it more than necessary as the boards (all brands) eventually burn out if you use it too much. I had KitchenAid ovens before and the self clean worked well, I don't expect these to be any different.

Yes, I have all KitchenAid appliance and am happy with everything except for the built-in, panel ready refrigerator.

I have 3 panel ready KA dishwashers (2nd to top of the line) and they are great.

With dishwasher,
1. Is the interior stainless
2. Does everything come out dry.

What don't you like about the refrigerator

Do you have the cooktop, electric or gas

1. Yes, the interior is stainless.
2. No, it does not (and that is my understand of how all dishwashers are now).

Does the wetness leave spots on the glasses and silverware.

What don't you like about your refrigerator.

I'm planning on getting the Electrolux columns.ko

What type of cooktop do you have.

No spots on the stuff from the DW, but I do use JetDri in addition to the detergent.

The refrigerator (I did not see it before I bought it -- my mistake) freezer part is tiny -- the icemaker takes up about 1/3 of the freezer and the shelves are very, very shallow. And the fridge part isn't laid out well.

KitchenAid -- 2 of them - one 30" and one 36". 2nd from top of the line. I love them especially the power burners.

All of my appliances are KitchenAid except for microwaves and oven hood.

Thanks so much for your input.
Besides the appliances
What's something from your remodel that you love

What's something you wished you didn't do

Wished you did

Wasn't as important as you thought.

First of all, mine wasn't a remodel, it was new construction.

On the whole I am very happy with everything we did. I had a very long time to plan it because it took a long time for us to get our permits. I also had a great interior designer who made a huge difference.

There a few things I might have liked, but knew I couldn't because our size restriction (by permit) didn't allow it.

The one thing I would do differently is the layout of my pantries. Right now, my (48" built in fridge) is on one wall with 2 pantries on either side. That part is fine. However, the pantries have pull out shelves for the full depth. I would prefer shelving on the doors for smaller items and then shorter shelves. I had suggested that to the cabinet people, but they said they don't like doing that because it stresses the doors too much. I've since found out that if different kinds of hinges are used it can be done.
