I know many people that went to work today, more then a 15 minute drive.
So I don't think your boss is being unreasonable. I see plenty of cars on the road, the plow trucks are also going around so it's not accumulating much on the roads.

Where are you? I don't see cars on the road in Wesley Hills where I am.

I work in a school so I am home. Seems that all the schools in the Far Rockaway/5 Towns area are closed and all the public schools in the area too. Even people I know who work in offices are home - either their offices are closed or they are working from home instead of going in. Seems like it's worse here than in some other areas.

Union Square. At 7 am when I was walking around, it wasn't bad. Most shopkeepers and building supers were shoveling.

I just looked out my window and it's snowy but not terrible. Windy though according to people who went out.

Working from home. Our street wasn't plowed until well after 10, and public transportation was sporadic, with delays.

It ended up not snowing a lot in Lakewood, and it was pretty much over by 12p. So I went in for a few hours. I'm happy I went because like this tomorrow won't be as bad, but I felt bad to leave my kids. Although we just had a nice midwinter vacation together so I don't feel as bad.

Husband, kids and I all got snow days today. No work or school, though I have been doing some work from home.
