I'll be honest it's not something either my husband or I have thought about.

My husband does, and I'm a sahm.
Once you have kids I think it is essential.

yes we both have. SAHM's should also have. I'm also a SAHM. the truth is my grandfather got me and siblings full life as an investment even before we were married and selling it would be complicated. If it was my choice I would have term like my husband does.

We both do. I'm a SAHM but what I do for free would cost a lot of money to replace if something happened to me. If you have children, life insurance for BOTH parents is a must, even if one parent stays home. A will is also important. Even if you have no money or assets, at the very least, you want a legal document stating who should take in your kids if chv there are no parents.

Yes. Both of us. We need his income to live. My income isn't nearly as essential at this point but I do a ton that he would have to hire someone to do- laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, childcare.... Hey, even the cost of formula vs pumping/nursing is a lot!
And if CV something happens to both of, it is essential we know that their would-be guardians have enough to feed, clothe, educate, provide medical care etc...

Dh dropped his, right before he was diagnosed with cancer. He's bh better now, but can't get a policy until a certain number of years pass by healthy, and only then with huge fees. I'm terrified every day that ch"v he will die and (as a stahm who cannot work due to my own illness) I will end up w my kids living on the street.
Please, get insurance and do not cancel the policy, no matter how healthy you think you are! Dh seemed healthy as anything up to that point.

Yes we both have, and we got the policies when we were very young (20 and 22) so it was very cheap. My husband was diagnosed with diabetes and other health issues a couple of years later and it would have been almost impossible for him to get a policy at that point so Bh we did it when we did...

We both have term. This should be a priority expense even more then tuition. It is part of providing for your family's basic needs.

Yes. We both have.
Shouldn't this be part of chasan/ kallah classes?
You never want your kids to be those orphans people in the community have to fundraise for.
