My kids came up with a really cute costume idea for Purim...they would all be different emojis. A really cute idea, and we have lots of ideas for Shalach Manos to fit with the theme/

The kids thought they would wear t-shirts...on the front would be the emoji face and on the back would be the name of the emoji (smile, haha, love, etc.) Cute idea....EXCEPT as I was planning them out, I realized that the eyes of the emojis would probably fall right on each kids' chest...not so tznius! The kids don't really want to wear huge cardboard circles.

Any ideas to make this theme work? It's a really cute idea!

OP here: I guess I should have said the ages....my older girls are already teenagers. HUGE adult size might help...not sure though. Smile

Emojis on back and names on the front?

Names above and the face below so that the eyes are lower down?

I agree with either emojis on their backs, or lower down on stomachs

You can make great, lightweight emoji costumes out of hula hoops. Loosly cover the front and back with yellow fabric, with head, arm, and leg holes in the right places. Girls can wear a long black skirt under it. Then just use fabric paint, and you're done!

Added bonus, when Purim is over, slide the fabric covers off, and the kids can play with the hoops. The fabric can fold flat for another year, or to give to another family.

If you wan the chest area to be extra tznius, you can line the front of the costume with pillow or quilt padding, to smooth out the area. (Think of an M&M costume.)

My kids will be emojis this yr. I made it out of yellow fabric sewn pillow like, one for the front and one for the back connected with fabric at shoulders and with rubbers on sides to hold both pcs togather. On thw front the emojis are out of fabric paint, and the back I left empty. They each have a pull on beany hat that has an emoji on it.

For MM I'm giving baked goodies individually wrapped. And DD baked emoji cookies. I'm adding banana liquer. Got yellow cardboard pop up boxes, suitcase look, and am putting a bow made out of emoji ribbon onto the handle on box. Made my own label by downloading from google images a pics of an emoji face wearing a hat and party streamers on sides. Added simchas purim from fam xyz on text on photo app and then made it into a college of 6 on another app and developed it at york photo. Am sticking it on using double sided glue tape.
