There seems to be more to the story. According to the article she had her first child at age 58 but that child was removed from the home due to neglect. I hope these babies fare better.

Last year, a 62-year-old doctor who specializes in IVF treatments in the northwestern city of Lugo appeared before cameras last year holding her third baby in her arms.

I usually don't critique writing, but this got to me.

sounds like a few stories mixed together one mom is dead ... so much for healthy babies ... yeah they won't be in brooklyn anytime soon - unless somebody is suing the US doctors for the fertility treatment & forcing him to care for them

Seems US helped her get pg. If her custody rights were revoked in her hometown, you gotta wonder if she would head back with her twins . Either way , offers hope to infertile couples, yet boggles the mind with the ethics of it all .

OK I know this is insensitive but I couldn't help snickering when I read that they named the non-custodial/neglectful parent "M.I.A."
