Just ate some (cooked) bodek frozen spinach and it seemed sandy or grainy. Like the spinach was cooked, but it had tiny pieces of sand or similar in it. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
I'm really worried. . .

Worried about what? Sanitation or kashrut? Spinach is an incredibly sandy vegetable. The surprise is not that yours was sandy but that most of the time it's not. In any case the produce was washed, and since you presumably cooked it before eating, any germs were destroyed. Go worry about something real, like what frum ladies' extensive use of disposables is doing to the planet.
