My mom, a senior citizen, has been complaining lately of abuse by her caregiver/Aide. The Aide acts great when family is around, but when she is alone with my mom, we cannot be sure of what is going on behind the scenes. So we would like to install some type of video/monitor to be able to check what is going on.
My siblings and I do not know much about this type of "technology" so we need help/suggestions about what type of video/monitor to purchase and what to look for when purchasing the products and having them installed. Any advice you can give us would be greatly appreciated. A few questions:
1)It is a small apartment, a bedroom, a dining/living room and a kitchen. Can a unit be installed in a bedroom if the Aide or my mom sometimes get dressed/undressed in that room?
2)Is it true that we must tell all Aides that we have such a unit?
3)How much do such units generally run?
TIA for any advice you can give us on all the above.
