Is anyone out there meshuga like me with their kids oxygen saturation like me?
My 2 year has been hospitalized twice for rsv and now that it's cold season every time he gets a cold I'm busy monotoring his numbers.
Does anyone know if it's normal to be a steady under 90% if he has a stuffed nose?
He is otherwise very happy and my doctor said if no fever and he is happy running around he is probably fine.
But the numbers don't show that.

Yes me.
Never got under 90 tho. I'd be worried. But with such a little kid you may not be getting an accurate reading. Try his big toe.

If your child is running around happily, his 02 is not 90.
An 02 of 90 is not ok (in a healthy child).
You need to stop monitoring your childs oxygen levels when he's happy and running around.

RN here. Anything under 93 is not OK. See your doctor ASAP

My daughter has asthma. Under 93 you should go to the ER.
As others said, if it would be under 90 he wouldn't be acting normal.
You have a oxygen monitor at home? Why?

My cell phone has an health app that measures your o2.
I'm not running to the ER based on the numbers becuase it's probably not 100% accurate.
but the doc said, approximately I can get an idea how he is doing.
I dont' know when he had RSV in the hospital he was so happy but he also didn't reach above 90 so we had to stay.
