Is it easier to fly into Newark or JFK if coming internationally with checked luggage and going to the Upper West Side? Totally can't figure this out online--thanks for the help!

LGA is closest. Easiest do you mean cheaper cab ride? JFK. Shorter ride: about the same, depending on traffic.

They're really all the same. A few minutes difference perhaps.

LGA is not an international airport. Newark is closer than JFK (without traffic)

Newark is definitely a lot closer. Traffic can vary widely depending on what day and what time you're arriving. At rush hour, it will take forever and be expensive no matter where you're coming from. Late at night Newark will be much more convenient.

Super helpful. Thanks so much, Ladies. Ticket booked to EWR rather than JFK (I guess b/c it's in NJ it sounds a lot farther!)
