I want to make it and send for mishloach manos. Did anyone ever make it? How do you cut the chocolate neatly in squares without it cracking?

I need it to come out right the first time cuz I am deocrating the top in a certain way so I don't want to have to remelt the chocolate and do it over.

If you don't want shards, consider pouring the chocolate into flat molds. Or, pour on top of a graham cracker.

How about using individual molds?
Would either of these work for you:

or

Thanks. Don't want to do molds. It's easier to do the design one time on the whole thing. If I do on top of graham crackers, I will still have to cut through the chocolate, won't I?

Cut the crackers into squares and place on wax paper before pouring the chocolate. But they will probably be more like chocolate covered graham crackers...

If you use a hot dry knife you can cut neatly into chocolate. Run it under hot water, wipe dry and try cutting.

I made it with large uneven pieces.
Whenever I've received that's how it looked.

I see it for sale in the supermarket and it is cut into even pieces. Ditto when it is displayed at a kiddush or simcha.

I will try the hot knife method. It sounds like a good idea. Thank you.
