Does anyone have one to share?

Also what pan do you use?
I have one, but don't like it. I'm looking for a different one.

There were some recipes in the daily Hamodia last week (you can look it up online).

I never tried making a log, but I assume that a baking supply shop like Peppermill or Tips and Toque in Lakewood would have the pans.

Thanks. In Wednesday's edition?
I'm trying to figure out how to navigate the site. Do you know where I would find it?

Anyone else?

I used the disposable log pan. Worked well. Made it with a peanut chew recipe though. Came out very pretty.

I think chocolate and Praline paste. Some use peanut butter chocolate and rice krispies.

Bump....I want to try making a chocolate log, but am having a hard time choosing a log mold. Anyone order one online? Can you link me to one that might be the right size for the recipe above? TIA!

Can someone please explain what acetate sheet and textures sheets are in the instructions.
Thanks.

I think the acetate sheets are like parchment paper, to help the chocolate pop out of the mold easily.

The texture sheets are optional, and they are sheets that will add some sort of design to the finished product.

In last week's Mishpacha Family First there's a recipe, and it shows how to make it with a transfer sheet -for a pretty design - or to create a design on the surface yourself by smearing a little melted/softened chocolate on the acetate and drawing the design on it, and then pouring on the rest of the filling.

I'm trying to visualize what everyone is talking about. All I can think of is a buche noel.

Is this what it's supposed to look like?

It's rich chocolate in the shape of a jelly roll. Thin slices are cut off to enjoy.
Often the outside will have a patterend edible stencil sheet melted on to it for design.

Aren't those rolled cakes. These are more like large chocolate molds, no cake or rolls.
