Thank you. He is having surgery at 7:00 am tomorrow. Please also pray for us to have an easy night as he is used to nursing throughout the night and will not be able to due to the surgery. Every prayer is appreciated.

Refuah Sheleimah! I hope tonight goes easily. (You might want to check: I have heard some doctors allow breast milk up to four hours before surgery, because it is considered a clear fluid. But of course, you need to do what your doctors recommend.) Poor little one! Looking forward to good news.

I did check into it. Under 12 months breast milk would be okay. But he is 18 months, so the milk is not as easily digested.

That makes sense. Poor kid ... I hope he sleeps through the night so it won't be too hard for him.

Refua Shlaima! Would you be comfortable sharing your baby's hebrew name?

I'll say some Tehillim, m3b2c.
I thought you might like to know that they say today, 7th of Adar, the birth and passing of Moshe Rabbeinu and also the passing of Esther Hamalka, is a special day for Tefillos to be accepted. Some say Tehillim 22 which Esther Hamalka said.
Wishing you a peaceful night and Refuah Shleima to your baby!

It took almost 24 hours for the anesthesia to wear off. So I wouldn't worry about not nursing at might - it will probably make you more uncomfortable than him.
Also, make sure he gets enough pain meds after - babies have pain even if they don't cry, they may show it by not sleeping or eating.
