I will. My baby had surgery. It took almost 24 hours for the anesthesia to wear off. So I wouldn't worry about not nursing at might - it will probably make you more uncomfortable than him.
Also, make sure he gets enough pain meds after - babies have pain even if they don't cry, they may show it by not sleeping or eating.

I think she meant he can't eat before the surgery.

At what time do you need to stop feeding?
Would cluster feeding help? Give a lot of solids and offer nursing every few minutes for an hour before? I know it won't replace the comfort time during the night but maybe the extra snuggling and comfort plus extra food intake may help. Thinking of you

I'll keep him in mind! Hope it all goes well.

If you're interested in a helpful tip-

You can ask them to give him anti-nausea medication in his iv line before he wakes up. The anesthesia tends to cause nausea and vomiting.

Poor little guy won't stop crying. He can't understand why I'm being so mean to him. 😕

You have the "nursing equipment". Can Tatty hold him for a while?

Tried that. He was screaming like his heart was cracking in half. Bh he ended up calming down with my husband. Then he came back to lay with me, and bh did fall asleep after about 20 minutes although he kept pulling at my shirt.

Just woke up now, as we need to be there by six. He starting pulling at my shirt, but I quickly put on his favorite show on the iPad so he is distracted for the moment.
