My friend told me her pediatrician recommended not using products like Mylicon, but just giving a miniscule dose of mylanta to her baby. Did anyone else ever hear of this? I called my pediatrician but didn't get an answer yet.

I gave mine a probiotic. A teensy dose of what DH takes for his own digestive issues. It worked amazingly well. He sleeps much better now. If you are not machpid on Chalav Yisroel you can use floradix or gerber soothe drops.

That makes no sense! Mylanta is a combination of a few meds including simethicone (gaz-ex) which is exactly same as mylicon drops

So maybe the Dr. felt it would be more effective

I used maalox and myLanta for my baby's acid reflux, on the advice of the dr
Not sure about using it for gas.
Ot, mha, what prebiotic do u use? Ds is on antibiotics and his tummy is hurting. Would love to give him a good probiotic.
