Please if anyone even remembers the basics it would help.
I know pepper steak, peppers, and onions.
Duck sauce, soy sauce, garlic ...
Any other ingredients?
Any ideas on the ratios?

There was one more ingredient- can't remember exactly what- water chestnuts or something similar. Maybe someone else can help.
Salt and black pepper as well. (Sorry I'll not home for y"t).

If you're going to use a chametz recipe then you'll have to improvise anyway so it's not really worthwhile following the recipe. Just use some cooking sherry, beef consomme ( cubes or powder), a little ginger, bay leaf, and brown sugar, a whole head of garlic, some garlic powder and ketchup. I cook the meat for a very long time with the onions and add the peppers only at the end of the cooking.

I have duck sauce and soy sauce so don't really have to improvise...
But thanks (I don't have a lot of those ingredients in teh house - ginger, sherry, beef consome, bay leaf, ) but I apprecieate you taking the time to type that up eruv yom tov

I just made this one in oven. Saute 2 onions. 1 lb pepper steak. Peppers. 1/2 cup ketchup. 1/2 c brown sugar. 1/2 cup water. 5 TBs duck sauce. Bake 250'. 4 hours covered

oh well - I missed it. Thank you for posting.
I ended up making Fresh n Easy BBQ recipe I found on here with ra_mom oven directions.
I have to remember to print it for next year because I had the same problem last year.

BY Pepper steak
1 cup duck sauce
3 Tbsp soy sauce
4 cloves garlic minced
1 lb pepper steak
1 onion sliced
1 red pepper
1 can water chestnuts
mix duck sauce, soy sauce and garlic
season meat with salt and pepper
place meat in 9x13. Add onions, pepper and water chestnuts.
Pour sauce over. Cover and bake for 2 hours at 350.
