Hi! I just made challa dough and now while braiding I notice it has a sour smell. I actually made two recipes one whole wheat and one regular . The whole wheat one smells perfectly fine however the regular one has a sour odor to it. I bubbled the dry yeast in two seprate bowls for 2 separate recipes . Can it be the yeast? Anyone ever had this? What should I do? Please help. Thanks in advance

It might have over risen in which case is not salvageable. Put them in the oven quick before they rise more
