I don't know if this is a pair or one for each of you, but brace yourself for your future daughters-in-law, this is probably reasonable. If this is what you were all prepared to spend, do so joyfully, and may you all join together for their gold and beyond!

That is a lot of $ but totally depends on what everyone can afford and what everyone wants to spend. No right or wrong answer

I got my mother a Bosch mixer for hers. It cost over 500. As the only one marrid at the time...I paid the majority of it. Probably 350 or more. We also made them a party which I hosted.

Ka"h! Its really the spouse job to buy the other spouse a gift. I would not spend more than $50-100 max.

Do you mean you wouldn't spend more as a spouse or as a child?
I think it's beautiful for the kids to recognize meaningful anniversaries (and others, if they choose). No one should overextend themselves.
And as trite as it is, the thought, if implemented well, always counts.

If you can afford it, or even stretch yourself to afford it, I would totally do it. A silver anniversary is something special, and if this is the gift she picked out, I think it would be very meaningful to find a way to get it for her, unless it's completely beyond your means.

You showed her a $1500 leichter as an option? Then its not too much. After all, why would you show it to her if you weren't willing to buy it?

How many children are chipping in? That would also make a difference. If it's 2 then 1500 is a lot. If it's 5 then it's a lot but not as much.
