An old imamother post provided me with this yummy-looking recipe:
Mushroom Sauce
1 medium onion, diced
3 Tbsp oil
1 small can mushrooms
2 1/2 Tbsp flour
1 cup chicken soup broth
salt and pepper to taste
Saute onion in oil over medium high heat until soft. Add mushrooms and saute an additional 5 minutes.
Sift in flour slowly, while pouring in broth. Continue to cook and stir another few minutes, until thickened.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
My question is: Can I make this now to freeze for Shavuos?
TIA

Yes. You may have to mix it well after rewarming it. Hint: I freeze my mushroom sauce in a small foil pan. Then I just have to stick it in the oven or on the blech to rewarm without needing to transfer from another container.

Yes it should be fine since it has flour and not cornstarch (which breaks down when frozen).
