I have my friend's son's bar mitzva and I want to make something really nice for a sweet table.. but I don't have that much time..
Not sure if this exists but I would love to make something that's really nice to send, could be used for dessert on shavuos, is easy to make, and doesn't flop...any ideas?

How about zebra cookies? They always look so pretty?

This is very easy and very nice.

Parev version

4 eggs
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c lemon
optional: lemon zest
8oz Unwhipped whip
Mix. Pour into crust. Bake 350 for 30 min.

This is a very similar dairy version. Both are very good. You can use premade graham cracker or frozen crusts (pre bake crusts) for either.

you can make chocolate mousse and put in Graham cracker pie for your family for yom tov but put in mini trifle cups for bar mitzva. each cup doesn't use much mousse and they are so pretty and everyone loves them.

This is delicious, easy and looks very nice:

Peanut Butter Dessert tarts:

24 prebaked cookie cups
3 oz baking chocolate
nut crunch
1 cup peanut butter
2/3 cup corn syrup
1/3 cup chocolate syrup
8 oz whipping cream

Melt chocolate and brush on rim of cups and dip into nut crunch. Melt peanut butter, corn syrup and chocolate syrup. pour into tarts and let it cool. Beat whipping cream till stiff. with a piping bag pipe onto cups. With a peeler shave chocolate over whip cream.

What desserts do you make well? Now is not the time to try a new dessert. I would make a cookie platter- everyone loves cookies, I make good cookies, they look nice on a glass platter, they last a while and they don't take up any fridge space, which your friend may need for other things.
