Hi- I'm burnt out and separately need a break. I'd love to go away with my DH but he'll be staying home with the kids, as sending them away is not an option right now.

I live in Monsey and would like to spend 2-3 days, someplace no too far away, relaxing to the utmost.

there are a lot of wise women on here and would greatly appreciate all and any suggestions and ideas! Tia

Can I tag along? I desperately need a break.

Ih, and can your dh watch my kids while we're at it? Dh world's 14+ hour days. (Hence the need for a break for mom)
Twisted Evil

Kidding Aside,
What do you like to do? Do you drive? Can you being along food or need to be close to a kosher restaurant?

My dream vacating would be a kosher hotel by the beach. 3 days ALONE. No cell no husnad (bless him but I need alone time) no nothing. Just quiet and alone.
And a pool!

I would need to get to know you before you plan on tagging along. How disappointing would it be if we plan all the details and then you just end up being a pain in the a** and anything but relaxing;p

All kidding aside, I'm not necessarily looking for a kosher hotel although that would be a plus. A hotel stay by a beach would be nice. Any idea where the closest such place would be?

Thank you!

I'd love to stay home in my PJ's and send everybody else away for a few days. Sweet dreams.

There are some really luxurious spa places in CT and VT that could be nice and relaxing. Or you could head to the Finger Lakes to be on the water. Or Newport, RI is gorgeous and peaceful.

I would just take a hotel room next to a cemetery (complete silence) and sleep for 48 hours...

Definitely, many of them have, but they will cost a fortune.

Do you drive? if yes, you have many options:
Stay at a lodge in bear mountain park
mohonk mountain house
ocean place in deal, nj
borgata in atlantic city, nj
fire island - get there by boat, beautiful island no vehicles allowed
I'd go to a different community - bp, lakewood,e tc.

Rolling Laughter Rolling Laughter Rolling Laughter

Omg. I'm litterally rotfl!!!!!

I am a little weird. Beware.
We've been called yuppies before, but I'm nice and friendly.
And my girls, well, I'll just dress them up as boys and they'll act appropriately.
Can I join?
