Help!!!There was no more phyllo dough at the grocery- I am trying to make a "Greek" style pizza that called for phyllo dough. Do you think melawach might work instead as a substitute ???

Malawach is super fattening and phylo dough hardly has fat (before you put the layers of butter that s lot of recipes call for).
All doughs are yummy.
It won't be greek but you can always make malawach pizza.

It's more like puff pastry than phyllo dough.
I've baked it and fried it. Baking it makes it more puff pastry dough like, frying it more like it's own thing.
I also find it to be slightly sweeter than puff pastry.
