For those of you that sent your son to Israel how much spending money did you send him? Did you send it weekly or monthly? Did your son find it to be enough?
Also can you tell me what kind of yeshiva. My son is going to a black hat style yeshiva. I heard they get some very wealty kids. I want to give him enough money that he feels comfortable but I don't want to give him a open checkbook.

My son has a debit card and we pay about $75/month to his account for things like laundry, toiletries, bus fare and snacks. If he has extra expenses for a trip or something we pay for that too. He also has a phone, not sure exactly who pays that bill.
