I would love to start a shabbos menu thread where we post our shabbos menu for the week so others can get ideas. This isn't meant to be a show off thing- just to help those of us who would like to try diff types of foods. I know there are some old threads with thus but its hard to go through. Ill start and hope to see others recipes!!

Fri night we are out.

Shabbos day:
Challah and 3 dips

Honey mustard chicken
Cholent
Sweet potato pie
Couscous with mushrooms and onions
Raw corn salad
Hearts of palm avocado salad (hope the avocados stay good!)
Dessert will be what dh picks up!

Do you make this all in one day? Do you work? I can't figure out how to make both meals. Maybe I'm just a slow cook

Tichelady, I make the hot soups and usually the desserts on sunday and freeze them. Whenever I make something that can be frozen I make at least one extra. The meatball stew is from the freezer a couple of weeks ago. Dd is making the gazpacho. I usually start the rest Thursday night.

Essie, I have the recipe at home so can't give it to you now but will post it later. If you want to look for it sooner, it's from a thread this year about making a Persian purim seuda.

Honey mustard chicken-

Coat chicken breasts in honey mustard. Dip both sides in crushed up french friend onions. Put on baking sheet and bake.

Sweet potato pie-
