If a couple goes into a furnished appartment. And they already paid the Chasuna mall/depot- the one that opened also a branch in willimsburg. Can the couple order furniture 2 years later when they move into a regular appatment?

If it's paid.
That's how many of my close relatives worked it out.
But why not Ask them? It's only a phone call.
Good luck!

Out of towner speaking... does this mean that the mall is holding onto your money for 2 years?

They work by 'package' only. The idea of it is to save time and money. Packages include everything but need to be paid up front.
If someone decides to go with a chassuna mall, they are choosing to pick a package and to pay the price it costs.
There are still many privately run furniture, houseware and linen stores for those who want it the other way.

I can ask someone. Give me a minute.
Are you talking about Menichas Hanefesh or the newer one?

A word of advice from an internet stranger - if the money that this mall holds was given to you by parents, let your parents know your plans.

OP I'm sorry. I can't reach my sister in law which married off recently.
I guess by tomorrow morning you can already ask the mall by yourself.

It is the parents that are giving the mall the money.

Okay - sounds like they are in the loop.
I'd be nervous about leaving a large sum of money for 2 years with anyone other than a bank - but as long as all parties are informed..and the mall is okay with it.. ignore me.

As someone very familiar with the malls, I'm almost positive they allow you this option, though they wont say this out right.

Thank you. For me it's a fascinating look inside another Jewish culture.

Lately, they added fire insurance to the package.
I love the idea.
