I have 2 classroom assistants that I would like to give gifts to. In the past, I've given small tokens of appreciation With a nice letter, but this year my assistant went above and beyond. The other girl is not technically an assistant but a shadow who also lent a hand when needed. Any suggestions what to get? They are both single girls, around 19, if that helps think of something...

Thanks for the ideas! I like the idea of a cosmetics bag or costume jewelery gift card. Is double header a good place to get gift card from? I'm not up to date on where people buy nice accessories (Flatbush area)?

When I was an assistant, I got a few gift cards to Double Header. I think that's fine.

Do people use jewelry boxes like that anymore? And if they do, isn't it something that they would be likely to already own?

I'd go with the gift card.
