I usually just google for things like this, but IME pretty much any white frosting recipe can be turned into chocolate by adding some cocoa powder and nothing else. Coffee is possibly a bit more involved, you'd need to dissolve instant coffee in a little hot water first and then reduce other liquids accordingly (which should be easy enough because most frostings call for a little milk or water anyway.)
I hear no margarine or butter, but are other forms of fat OK? I have had good enough results substituting palm oil shortening for butter in frosting recipes (it's not really shortening; it's just that palm oil is naturally a more solid consistency, but smoother than coconut oil which did not make such great frosting when I tried it.) Earth balance also makes a "healthier" shortening substitute but palm oil is simpler.

Thanks so much for your ideas!
Other forms of fat are totally fine. Tried to google, but all the recipes are either dairy or require margarine.
I once horribly messed up a frosting by improvising (didn't know it's possible to mess up a frosting! I put too much powdered sugar to make it thicker and then was way too sweet)
I Don't want to mess up the cake (it's for my neighbor who just gave birth), so I need precise measurements.
Any suggestions, please?

The bais yaakov cookbook has a mocha cake with a coffee frosting that's really good.
